    I would say that Krasner work that predates Pollack in some ways were more ambitious. Also Pollack's older brother Charles who seems to have bee forgotten was as good but forgotten.

    According to the Artholes podcast, Pollock was so bad at signing or titling his work that it became hard to distinguish an original from a fake after his death. Until they figured out that his paintings were fractals and that became a reliable way to rule out imitations.
