  The very first article linked, "Why Bitcoin Can’t Be A Currency" is correct. It cannot be a currency as it has been coopted as an investment vehicle.

  Market value of BTC isn't a sole indicator of its death or liveliness. In terms of its original mission statement, it certainly has failed.
