  Insects are fast and agile, already available, self replicating, and degradable. But let's invent something worse anyway.

  This idea isn’t new, but it is more practical to achieve something like this today. However, I worry that anyone who actually tries to implement this will not consider all the side effects. Such as large scale electronics waste and pollution of the environment.
