    I've watched this and I think this will not be the holly grail because the crucial components change the spin direction during operation. So wear and noise and inefficiency.

    It’s an interesting design that seems to have less losses than conventional cat tech, and the 0:1 ratio is a big deal for simplifying drive trains.

    Whether this can scale well and it’s in-situ longevity are big questions, and ones that may not be so trivial based on some of the intrinsic mechanisms. I hope it turns out to be the silver bullet that it promises to be!

    the article mentions what everyone says that "CVTs don’t have gears" but wouldn't it be more accurate to say that they have Infinity gears?
