I’ve always wanted a tool that automatically extracts value from my bookmarks. Being able to just save something and come back to it via metadata and keywords automatically extracted from it seems like a huge win for me!
Does it preserve readable (ad stripped) versions of pages I collect from falling to link rot, and does it automatically convert everything into content type adapative embeddings for citable chat querying with GPT-4 / user’s own personal LLM?
This has the potential to be an amazing tool, especially for researchers. How are you planning to handle data privacy? Is my data stored locally, or in the cloud I could only use something like this if I could have my data local or e2e encrypted.
When you save a knowledge card to the Recall app it is stored locally in indexeddb in your web browser. We have a syncing engine that is used to sync between devices and for back which also stores your data in the "cloud". Right now, its not e2e encrypted.
Really like the idea! I can see the benefits finding connections between different knowledge pieces I've collected. Does your platform support any sort of integration with other apps like Obsidian or Notion?
Been a follower of recall from the start. Really love the direction and the latest browser extension. It was buggy at first, but seen significant improvements. I’m a fan.
